Judas Priest has gone on tour after releasing their new album, and has already been a subject of anticipation and speculations, predictions and outcries, but also of joy and enthusiasm. Although we had to wait four years for a new album, their (and our) effort has paid off, so all of us were delightful to finally welcome ''Firepower'', the album that has once again proven who and what these people that stand behind the Judas Priest name are. Screaming guitars, loud and firm bass which, along with drums, makes the rythm section which should really be sought, and a scream that rips the air and warns that Rob Halford still isn't ready to retire!
Although Glenn Tipton had to stand down from this tour because of his illness, he had chosen and approved Andy Sneap to replace him, one of the producers of the before mentioned album, which took on a role of the second guitarist of the band. Even though Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner had played together for the album in the studio, it was up to Faulkner to lead the band during the tour and to not allow this heavy metal giant give up... And you can convince yourselves and see all of that live, nearby you! It is true that the fact that their concert has not been organized (successfully) ever since 1991 leaves a bitter taste in our mouth, but if you are available, you cn still see this band live. Where? Well, for a start, the nearest date is July 26 in Slovenia, precisely Tolmin on MetalDays where Judas Priest will be presented as the headliner of this year's festival. For this occasion the organizers have even enabled their visitors one-day tickets which enable you to go to that concert and surely enjoy. If you still have vacation days, you should certainly be a part of the entire festival because, believe me, you will not regret. We should also mention the earlier date, precisely July 24., where you will be able to catch them in Budapest, Hungary, so you should also take that into consideration.
The concert in Vienna, Austria should also be mentioned, where you will be able to see them on July 28, which is a bit of a challenging trip, but I definitely have to say that you will enjoy, since I escorted Black Sabbath to retirement on their last tour two years ago. Also, it's good to mention that this is the date when Battle Beast and the legendary german metal giant Accept, so I believe that this would truly be the unforgettable heavy metal event! So? What are you waiting for? It's not that the band is getting any younger, and neither are you, so you better start planning, and I believe you won't regret it! I myself have started planning, so I hope that I'll see you in one of those buses which are on their way to the nearby Judas Priest concert!
